In each class, as we practice simple, embodied attunements from Judith Blackstone’s Realization Process, you will reconnect with the core zone in your body.  You will directly experience the place in you that has never been harmed and is always calm and awake.  As you cultivate this underlying sense of wholeness, you will also learn how to stay present with and transform the blocks to your joy and well-being.

How did we ever leave our innate sense of wholeness and well-being? Our human “fight, flight, freeze” brain naturally contracts our body to protect us when overwhelming and scary experiences are more than we can absorb. Our bodily tension and contractions “glue” us together temporarily, but if these stuck body pathways become permanent, we feel blocked from life’s greater delights.  We become anxious and more easily reactive.  We long to relax and to live in joy, but we’re not sure how to do this.

In each session, as you’re guided into embodied meditative exercises, you will start freeing up these contracted body patterns. With practice, the relaxed, open space inside becomes the “new normal”.  

Using modified Focusing protocols and The Release Process, we will also practice “being with” the constricted places in the body so they can safely unwind.  At least two people per session will have the opportunity to work individually and comfortably with me guiding them in front of the group.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other!

*Having a series of embodied practices to work with, so that you learn experientially what helps you feel whole and alive, and what doesn’t.

*Learning to navigate the internal space of your body in a way that transforms anxiety and struggle into flow.

*Healing and soothing the wounds that bind you as you progressively open to the wholeness of your own being.

In addition, a one hour private session is included. Guided Meditations will be recorded for your personal practice between weekly sessions.

Embodied Presence Focusing:  Level One

Individual Embodied Presence Focusing Training

Five individual 60-minute Sessions
Cost: $425 ($85 per session)

Description of training:

You will learn the basics of Embodied Presence Focusing, which include how to transform the body into a “sensing instrument”.  You will learn how to be present with a “felt sense” or the inner cues and sensations that communicate important information to you about your life.

As you practice having more compassion for yourself, you will also develop a more positive, flow-like embodied state. By the end of the series, you will be able to use the Embodied Presence Focusing process in all of your life situations.

This process can be learned with a partner or alone. If two of you sign up for the class, there is a $25 per person reduction in the cost.

Available in person or on Zoom Video Conferencing. Each lesson will be recorded for practice between sessions.

Individual Embodied Meditation and Breathwork Training

Five 60-minute Sessions
Cost: $250 ($50 per session)

Description of Training:

These classes clarify for you the purpose and scope of embodied meditation. You will learn guidelines for how to use the body and breath to help anchor you in the present moment, and how to differentiate meditation from thinking, zoning out, or Focusing.

These classes offer several meditation options, including Christian contemplative prayer, or how to have an embodied sense of sacred writings, mantras or poetry. Step-by-step guidelines for cultivating a flow state in the body will also be taught.

This class is available in person or on Zoom Video Conferencing. Each lesson can be recorded for practice between sessions.
