Free Introduction to the Practice of Embodied Presence Focusing

Date: Thursday, November 16, 2017

Edmonds, Washington (address given when you sign up).
Time: 7:30-9:00 pm

COST: FREE OF CHARGE

Description of Class:

We all experience habitual thinking and feeling loops in response to pain that prevent us from accessing life’s potential beauty and joy. To move to a new level of more unified perception requires practices that train the mind to see differently.

In this presentation, you will learn about the Practice of Embodied Presence, which incorporates body awareness, breathwork, Focusing and meditation. These practices open up your awareness to include your whole body intelligence, a reliable source of wisdom, clarity and compassion.

You will learn how to connect to your inner self, so that your nervous system is transformed from its “default setting” of fight, flight or freeze into more of a sense of ease and calm.

Embodied Presence Focusing:  Level One

Date: Saturday & Sunday, February 3 & 4, 2018
Location: Edmonds, Washington (address given when you sign up).
Time: 10-4:00 pm each day

COST: $325     $25 discount if signed up by January 15, 2018

Description of Class:

When we identify with our habitual thoughts and feelings, we set ourselves up to repeat our past.  We feel stuck and frustrated when we can’t move forward.

In Embodied Presence Focusing Level 1, you will learn how to listen to your global intelligence that communicates through your body’s messages.  A “felt sense” of something has information for you that is fresh and new.  Your body-felt experience reliably knows what is a healthy and life-giving choice for you.  When you listen to both your body AND mind, you have much more information available to support your deepest aspirations.

In this group, you will learn skills to be both a Focuser and a Companion.  Both involve deep, reflective listening while maintaining a state of Presence.

When you no longer identify with the feelings or thoughts that create an “issue”, you can shift your attention into the grounded, non-reactive spaciousness of Presence.  From this compassionate space, anything within that needs your kind attention is welcome.

Embodied Presence Focusing opens up your awareness to include your whole body intelligence, a reliable source of wisdom, clarity and compassion.

You will learn how to connect to your inner self, so that your nervous system is transformed from its “default setting” of fight, flight or freeze into more of a sense of ease and calm.  You can use the skill of Focusing anytime, anywhere to develop a positive and empowered relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you.
